This was based on an actual morning where I woke up to a doorbell and my mind flashed to that conversation. Then the rest of the story came pouring in. Sorry for the disturbing end, but I didn't want to just leave it after the break-in.

I'm very unsure where to place this. I feel like it might be ok in "horror" but it's not the kind of horror I think of when I think of it in terms of a genre. But I guess that's the best place.
